Grand Ave, STE 1, Surprise, AZ 85374 3 SOUTHWESTVALLEYCHAMBER.ORG Long Realty Getting to know Mitchell Berman It was January and after snow plowing another several inches of snow I decided I’d had enough Chicago winters. I couldn’t take another Polar Vortex! So, I decided to move to the Valley of the Sun. Who could resist 360 days of sunshine a year? You can’t shovel sunshine. I grew up in Skokie, Illinois and except for 4 years of college I lived in Illinois my whole life. I studied at Washington University in St. Louis and then at the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago- Kent College of Law. As I grew in my professional career I found that I have a strong passion for being involved in a service business where I can help people. First as a lawyer and then as the owner of 3 successful businesses. One a retained executive search and management consulting firm, a consumer lending firm and the third a therapeutic massage franchise called Massage Envy. I also bought and sold real estate in Chicago for a time in my career. Each of these business ventures has been one more building block preparing me to be a REALTOR® here in Arizona. I moved into my career as a REALTOR® because it allows me to continue to use my experiences working with people to help them find their dream home. What I have found to be most rewarding is helping people who are relocating to Arizona. I only wish I knew then what I know now which is just how many options there are for living life in Arizona. Having done it, I feel uniquely qualified to help others make the transition. I am a member in good standing of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), the Arizona Association of REALTORS® (AAR), and the West and Southeast REALTORS® of the Valley (WeSERV). Buying a home remains one of the most important investments you will make in your lifetime. It is also an exciting time for any home buyer! It can be a challenge too; especially if it is out of state and you do not have the right agent working for you. I would be honored to represent you. I take pride knowing that my abilities, level of motivation and persistence, and positive attitude give you what you need, when you need it. My promise is to keep you informed of every aspect of your transaction in a timely manner. Communication is the key to how I operate my practice. Whether you are a first time home buyer or a seasoned investor, whether you are relocating or moving in town, you will receive first class service from me and my team at Long Realty West Valley. I look forward to working with you and helping you begin the next chapter in your life’s experience.PHOENIX RACEWAY 4 One of the fastest growing in Maricopa County, with population growth of over 114%, over the last decade. SOUTHWESTVALLEYCHAMBER.ORG6 VISITSOUTHWESTVALLEY.COM Litchfield Park It is a unique city, envisioned to provide both aesthetic and commercial amenities. The area was originally settled hundreds of years ago and became a place on the map thanks to Paul W. Litchfield, an executive with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. The company sent Litchfield to purchase as much land as he could—ultimately 16,000 acres—that encompassed the land claims of the early settlers. Paul and Florence, his wife, came to love this area and built their beautiful winter estate, Rancho La Loma, on the hill overlooking the town site. The company town was officially named Litchfield Park in 1926. The Wigwam Resort, originally called “Organization House,” was built as simple guest quarters for visiting Goodyear Tire then expanded into a public resort in November 1929. Palm and orange trees that were integrated into the urban design years ago, along with the mature landscaping, now serve to showcase miles of pathways, beautiful homes, charming sidewalk cafes, the celebrated Wigwam Resort, and an award-winning school. A small residential community, is the historic center of the Southwest Valley. NAMED IN 1926 The City of Litchfield Park sponsors 15 special events featuring outdoor concerts, fine art festivals, runs, and holiday celebrations. A city that supports a positive, diverse growth environment that maintains and enriches the quality of life for everyone. Though it is surrounded by many ever- expanding municipalities full of new neighborhoods and shopping malls, the old town of Tolleson has not lost its individuality and charm. It is impossible to think of the City of Tolleson without thinking of its sense of community. Tolleson has been fortunate to retain its community values of appreciation for diversity, leadership, family and the preservation of the human condition, in the midst of dramatic regional growth. Today, Tolleson is the west valley’s industrial employment center hosting over 20 Fortune 500 companies employing more than 20,000, compared to just over 7,000 residents resulting in one of the most impressive jobs-to-residents ratios in the nation. If you are looking for something to do, be sure to stop by the Whoopee Daze Festival. It lasts over 3 days each April. The event is held at Veterans Park on West Van Buren Street in Tolleson, and includes a festival kick- off parade, carnival rides, arts and crafts vendors, food stalls, and even a softball tournament. Tolleson A city in the middle of it all bringing together a great heritage and amazing future.
