How many other banks can say that? 1949 St. Johns Ave. | Highland Park, IL 60035 847-432-9988 | highlandparkbank.comI n these uncertain times, overall well-being is top of mind for everyone. For many, that includes concerns about financial security. While much is still unknown about how the economy will look in the months to come, thankfully, there are ways to protect your financial future and give you peace of mind. We’re here with resources and solutions to help our community navigate the uncertainty. At Highland Park Bank & Trust, we’re part of the Wintrust family of community banks. All banks within our family are deemed “well-capitalized” by government regulatory agencies, including the FDIC. Our unique structure means you can count on our stability, security, and longevity, and also on something truly unique: our MaxSafe® program, which offers up to $3.75 in Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) coverage. How do we do it? Wintrust is comprised of 15 separate banking charters. By spreading deposits across those charter banks, we can maximize coverage by 15 times what one bank can provide. This takes your coverage from the standard $250,000 to up to $3.75 million, an unprecedented capability. With a MaxSafe certificate of deposit or MaxSafe money market account, you’ll receive one document for tax reporting at the end of the year, making it convenient and easy to manage your account. We also offer IRAs. Other FDIC-member banks are limited to providing customers with insurance up to $250,000 per depositor, per bank, for each account ownership category. There are several other ways to increase your FDIC insurance through a bank, however none of these provide nearly as much security as a MaxSafe account. Three of the most common include: • If you, your spouse, and your college-aged child each open separate accounts in your own names, each account will be insured for $250,000, resulting in FDIC coverage up to $750,000. • If you and your spouse open a joint account in addition to your personal accounts, you can receive an additional $250,000 of insurance coverage. • As the account owner, you can name five or fewer beneficiaries and receive $250,000 of FDIC protection for each beneficiary listed. Although these options might provide enough coverage for many people, the limits may not be sufficient for some individuals, family offices, and other organizations. Those options also aren’t as simple as MaxSafe with one 1099 tax form at year-end. We offer the MaxSafe program for individuals and businesses through Highland Park Bank & Trust or at any Wintrust Community Bank location. Wintrust Commercial Banking and a number of our niche lending groups, including those serving government municipalities and condo, townhouse, and homeowners associations, also offer MaxSafe. Our clients are navigating uncertain times, and we know it’s stressful. We’re prepared to provide more peace of mind with added deposit security, or help with any other questions or concerns.
