Bryant has become a magnet for new businesses and families seeking strong schools and new opportunities. The explosive growth is in part due to the local leadership and the team at the Greater Bryant Chamber of Commerce. Under the guidance of the President/CEO, Jason Brown, the mission is quite clear. The Greater Bryant Chamber of Commerce is to lead its members and community through economic developments, educational programs, and networking opportunities. The vision of the chamber is to be recognized as the voice of business for Central Arkansas. Every decision has been simple in theory, how best to raise the sales tax revenue for the area. This has been done by supporting our schools, businesses, organizations, and the City. With that goal in mind we can attract more people to our community. This simple path and devotion to that cause has helped increase sales, opportunities, and to add jobs to our economy. The Chamber and its team are here to become your resource for growth. Join the chamber, join the community, and learn what Bryant and Saline County are all about. GREATER BRYANT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Phone: (501) 847-4702 109 Roya Ln. Bryant, AR 72022 www.bryantchamber.com WELCOME ABOUT THE CHAMBERHARRIS WWW.BRYANTCHAMBER.COM7 A s the publisher of the Bryant Chamber of Commerce Community Profile, I would like to acknowledge the leadership at the Greater Area Bryant Chamber of Commerce. As a longstanding chamber member, I can safely say that my relationship with the chamber has had a positive impact on my business. I have not only enjoyed my relationship with the chamber but have really come to depend on it and its team. However, it is not until things become difficult when you realize the importance of a support network for your business and the community. During these difficult times I found myself looking to the chamber for more guidance than ever before. I have been incredibly impressed how the Bryant chamber of commerce and its team have been able to navigate the changing business climate and ramifications of the COVID-19 Virus on the community. Jason and Anna, the chamber team, have proven to be a source of solid information and guidance. This has helped businesses pivot in the quickly changing circumstances and kept the chamber active despite the myriad of ever-changing restriction limiting in person interactions. The success of the most recent Fall Fest is proof positive of the outcome when you have a strong team at the helm of the chamber, for its members, and for the community. I look forward to 2021 with great expectations for what the chamber has in store for us. DAVID HARRIS CEO HarrisChamberTeam.com All Rights Reserved. Saline’s CTE concept came from Saline 2020, an economic development study, which researched how to better retain and grow existing businesses and recruit new business and industry to the county. A recommendation from the study included enhancing technical curriculum at the high school level. The new Saline County Career and Technical Campus will provide a flexible curriculum to meet changing needs of business and industry. The initial ten programs, representing Arkansas’ fastest-growing markets, will include Manufacturing, Automotive Service, Construction, Industrial Technology, Welding, HVACR, Health Science, Medical Professions (CNA), along with Networking and Cybersecurity. By reflecting the community’s needs, the hope is to attract more businesses to the area by providing them with a work force directly from the local school systems. The new Career Technical Education Center (CTE) in Benton is expected to transform lives and businesses in central Arkansas. TRAINING THE FUTURE WORKFORCE 8VISIT SALINE COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WORDS BY Devin Sherrill, Bryant Public SchoolsWWW.BRYANTCHAMBER.COM9WWW.BRYANTCHAMBER.COM9 The 140,000 SF campus, which is the size of four football fields, will feature multipurpose classrooms, labs, shops and a 400-seat auditorium. The two-story campus design allows for flexibility, so classes can adapt as community and business needs change. The current facility will support approximately 1,400 high school students per day, along with provisions for community and adult education and training programs. A future phase of the project will include a 50,000 square foot expansion providing existing and new program growth. Learning environments will include specialized labs, fabrication studios, and maker spaces to support curricular needs and project-based learning. Collaboration spaces, break-out zones, and conference rooms will promote active learning, and the Innovation Zone—a multi-use meeting and presentation space—will become the heart of the campus and accommodate lectures, distance learning, presentations, competitions, and career days. Thanks to this design, the Saline County Career and Technical Campus will serve as a new benchmark for the state of Arkansas. RENDERINGS: BLACK CORLEY OWENS & HUGHESNext >
